Current Open Roles:

Chair, Marketing

Position SummaryThe position will lead a team of volunteers to drive all marketing efforts of WISE Atlanta. They will be responsible for developing  a yearly marketing and communications strategy to amplify presence, promote chapter activities, grow membership, strengthen engagement and increase fundraising. They will work closely with the Chair, Technology to manage the website by providing content and graphics. They will also work closely with the Events team to coordinate promotional efforts to increase attendance.

Essential Responsibilities:  The following are examples of the various responsibilities. The job responsibilities are not limited to the items on this list.  

  • Develop graphics and content to support Chapter events in a timely manner

  • Develop a strategic marketing and communication plan for WISE Atlanta 

  • Recruit volunteer committee members 

  • Direct design and production of all creative, email and website 

  • Manage Chapter social media accounts

  • Write copy for promotion and public relations collateral 

  • Strengthen relationships with media 

  • Develop editorial calendar for events and promotion 

  • Collaborate on digital projects for WISE Atlanta – website, email and social media platforms 

  • Lead and manage email communications, including monthly e-newsletter, using organization’s primary platform (currently Higher Logic, subject to change)

  • Ensure all chapter communications meet WISE brand standards 

  • Directly manage communication activities that promote, enhance, and protect the organization's brand reputation

  • Assist with WISE event production and execution 

  • Participate in monthly board meetings and other meetings as appropriate

  • Actively participate in Chapter events

Chair, Technology

Position Summary: The Chair, Technology is responsible for overseeing and updating the chapter website, managing the back-end platforms, and providing technical support to board members and website users.  They will serve as site admin to the platforms assigned by WISE National and be responsible for managing user permissions across the Chapter Board and leadership team. They will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to increase engagement and improve user experience.  They will work closely with the Marketing Chair, Membership Chair, Events Chair(s), Secretary, and Treasurer. 

Essential Responsibilities: The following are examples of the various responsibilities. The job responsibilities are not limited to the items on this list. 

  • Maintain chapter website, updating information as necessary

  • Work within HigherLogic platform to keep website relevant and fresh

  • Serve as primary admin for posting chapter event details, setting up registration page(s), and deploying event-specific reminder communications

  • Serve as secondary admin for email communication, membership database management, and event registration

  • Collaborate with Membership and Event chairs to develop and deploy surveys as appropriate

  • Collaborate with Secretary to organize and archive organization’s documents  

  • Collaborate with Treasurer to reconcile event registration payments as necessary

  • Manage third-party technology accounts including domain, hosting, payment processing, and others as necessary

  • Manage assigned email in-boxes and respond accordingly

  • Setting up and managing passwords for website

  • Serve as technology liaison to WISE National

  • Participate in monthly board meetings and other meetings as appropriate

  • Actively participate in Chapter events

Board Member Qualifications:

  • Active membership in good standing of WISE Atlanta
  • Familiarity with Google Drive and other Google Suite platforms
  • Previous relevant experience suitable for the role
  • Relationships and knowledge of the Atlanta sports and events ecosystem
